A UNIQUE APPROACH
At Movement Horizons, we combine traditional physical therapy with methods and techniques that facilitate neuroplasticity of the nervous system. This allows us to reach the source of dysfunction and to treat the cause rather then the symptom.
Our approach is addressing primitive reflexes, milestone development, sensory- motor integration and self regulation.
Our Neuro rehabilitation therapies can help any child reach higher potential.

"The human body is an amazing extension of the mind.  The mind dreams it up, but the body makes it happen" - Anonymous Author

My approach to my professional and personal life is guided by constant need for growth and development.

That drive to learn and aim for highest level of effectiveness and mastery has led me through a journey of discovery, enrichment and growth.

I was privileged to work and study with the best instructors in neuro rehabilitation.

I am the only provider in California who is trained as a licensed physical therapist and at the same time trained and experienced in Anat Baniel Neuromovement, MNRI-Masgutova Method, DMI dynamic movement integration C level, along with Movement Lesson approach.

My gift is to appropriately select effective and safe therapeutic techniques to bring about changes not possible with traditional approaches alone. That helps to unlock the amazing possibilities of the human brain to change, adapt, and develop new skills.

Thanks to the unique skills I am able to use hands on approach to facilitate change at a neurological level. The goal is to address the underlying cause of the dysfunction and not just treating its symptoms or focusing on training compensatory strategies.

Family support and education is also a big part of my work. It is parents who know their children best and it is parents with their unwavering dedication and love that can drive the change for better.

The Anat Baniel Method Neuromovement (ABMN®)

The Anat Baniel Method® is an innovative approach to working with children with special needs that helps their brains upgrade its capacity for learning new movement, regulate their emotions and improve cognition. ABM uses innovative, transformational movement exercises to access the brain's amazing ability to change itself. With this method, instead of asking a child to directly perform what is known to be difficult or impossible, the therapist perceives and finds the components and incremental steps that are necessary to build the new skill. In essence, a series of small and gentle movements are used to help the brain learn more complex skills one piece at a time.

The Masgutova Method-MNRI® Neurosensorimotor Reflex integration

The Masgutova Method (MNRI®) is a comprehensive set of programs that focus on the restoration and maturation of primary motor reflexes and primary movements.  It facilitates proper coordination between the sensory and motor systems.  It supports the optimal performance of protective, automatic brain and body responses.

MNRI is based on the stimulation of motor reflex patterns in order to awaken natural, genetic motor resources, motor memory and sensory-motor coherence.  Reflex pattern integration exercises are designed to create order in reflex circuits so that specific sensory stimulation yields a specific and appropriate motor response.  Proper integration of motor reflex patterns is essential and provides a stable foundation for the development and maturation of higher motor and cognitive functions.
